If you exist on this tiny island, then you will most probably know and have tried Tiong Bahru Bakery. Famed for his croissants and breads, this little boulangerie was opened by a French boulanger, Chef Gontran Cherrier, and it houses an array of baked goodies from classic French breads and viennoiseries, to savory sandwiches and tarts.
Just recently, this revered French celebrity baker was back on our shores and created a new lunch set menu simple but yet tantalizing enough for people who want something quick, value for money and still real tasty, especially those who are working and don't have much time to spare for lunch breaks. He also extended his repertoire of already existing goodies with new items such as his new Green Tea/Matcha Brioche with Almonds and White Chocolate as well as his Pistachio Apricot Kouign Amann, just to name a few.
Tiong Bahru Bakery is yet another successful F&B brand under the Spa Esprit group and with its new menu, I was lucky enough to be invited to taste them and write about it. Excited I was since pastry is what I do and naturally, I was thrilled to be able to sample some of Chef Gontran's new work.Read More
